5 Ways to Love Your Body Today

Happy Valentines Day! With all the love in the air today, I want to give you a few tips on how to love the most important person in your life... you!

Whether you're single, in a relationship, or married with 10 kids, you should always show yourself some love before anyone else! Too often we spend our time worrying about others and putting our friends and family's needs before our own. Today, I want you to take at least 15 minutes to do one of these simple things for you.

Stretch, foam roll, or get a massage
What your body likely needs today is some muscle relief. Stretching and foam rolling should be an everyday activity. We all sit too much, wear the wrong shoes, and hold tension in different areas of our bodies. Because of this our muscles need to be elongated and rolled out. Today spend 15 minutes on a yoga mat stretching and rolling everything out. Even better, go get a deep tissue massage!

Eat fresh food
I personally feel amazing after eating a bowl of berries or a salad with nuts and fresh vegetables. Your body responds positively to these foods because vegetables and fruits have the kind of micronutrients your body thrives on. If you want to feel energized today, munch on your favorite fresh produce. Strawberries dipped in dark chocolate count too!

Sweat
Do your favorite workout today. We all have some type of movement we enjoy. For some this is hitting the weight room, for others this is dancing around naked in a dark room! You do you!

Look hot
Put on your favorite outfit and strut around in front of a mirror. This may sound ridiculous, but it's not. If you put on your hottest dress and heels you will instantly start to feel confident and sexy. Who said you have to go out to get dressed up? Do this for you!

Call your mom
If you are struggling to find self-love today, reach out to someone who loves you unconditionally. This may be your mom, best friend, sibling, or a casual acquaintance. Just pick up the phone and say you need a confidence boost. You'll be surprised how supportive and loving people can be if you ask. Don't forget to send the love and confidence back his or her way, you never know who's having a hard day.
